Enjoyable, fun, educational and a great feeling of community.
Kemet Klub was set up in 2009 by Ali Ball and Josie Newman when Bristol University stopped running evening classes. We wanted to make sure that people could continue to enjoy the study of ancient Egypt. Initially our courses were in-person events based in Bristol. Since the pandemic, with the addition of Bernadette Brady to the team, we have taken our courses online.
Moving online has allowed us to re-connect with old friends, as well as meeting lots of new people from all over the world who are just as passionate about ancient Egypt as we are!
We are very fortunate to be able to work with some amazing lecturers. We provide the enthusiasm, our lecturers provide the expertise so that you can thoroughly enjoy exploring ancient Egypt.
I am happy and thankful to be part of the Kemet Klub. During so many great lectures I have learned so much. And I am eager to learn more. The online meetings with the Kemet Klub have become another hobby of mine.
I am so so grateful that I found this group. One positive of COVID has been the online side and being able to join in from across the world! It has opened up so many opportunities for me. One day I hope to visit you in person!
My wife and I, and even my ancient historian son, enjoy the courses and look forward to every Monday, even taking our laptop with us when we travel and watching the lectures from Switzerland.
