It’s so great to be entertained and educated at the same time!
We are a friendly group with a passion for ancient Egypt. No membership required, simply choose an online course you like and enrol! We explore a wide variety of Egyptological topics with some of the very best Egyptologists in the world. We look forward to meeting you online soon where everyone is welcome, from the curious, to the serious academic, and everyone in between!
Starting on 12th February we have a six week course with Dr Robert Morkot exploring the golden age of the pharaohs, Aspects of the New Kingdom: Religion, Art and Warfare. Our Sunday specials for March are a set of 4 lectures with Dr Chris Naunton looking at two very interesting Amenhoteps, in Egypt’s Dazzling Dun Kings.
For those of you who like a challenge we have two very interesting hieroglyphs courses: Using the entertaining mythological story of the Contendings of Horus and Seth, Maiken Mosleth King will introduce us to Late Egyptian grammar. If you would like to start from the beginning to learn how to read hieroglyphs, check out our self-study course, hieroglyphs for beginners.
Kemet Klub provide a range of fascinating courses that have kept me entertained and educated in a friendly and welcoming environment. I am in awe of Ali, Josie and Bernadette and can't thank them enough for all their hard work on behalf of us Egyptophiles.
A great opportunity to attend online lectures and to meet, if only virtually, like-minded people. The catch-up videos for the language courses are a terrific resource if you are not in the UK time zone, or miss a lecture.
I guess most clubs meet monthly but Kemet Klub is the exception and thank goodness for that. I have learned so much and look forward to the courses immensely. Big thanks to all of the organisers, long may it continue.
